Death Anniversary of Jamil Fakhri Observed

Lahore: The fourteenth death anniversary of veteran theatre and TV actor Jamil Fakhri was observed on Monday. Jamil Fakhri, a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, was renowned for his memorable role as SHO Jaffar Hussain in the TV series ‘Andhera Ujala’.

According to Radio Pakistan, Jamil Fakhri’s career extended beyond television dramas as he also featured in more than 50 Pakistani films. His contributions to the arts were recognized with prestigious accolades, including the Pride of Performance Award in 2002 and the Nigar Award in 1981.

Jamil Fakhri passed away on June 9, 2011, in Lahore at the age of 65, leaving behind a legacy celebrated by fans and colleagues alike.
