Death Anniversary of Religious Scholar, Naat Khawan Junaid Jamshed Today

Karachi: The ninth death anniversary of religious scholar and Naat Khawan Junaid Jamshed is being observed today.

According to Radio Pakistan, Junaid Jamshed was born on 3rd September, 1964 in Karachi. Over his lifetime, he made significant contributions to religious and cultural life in Pakistan, earning the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz from the Government of Pakistan in recognition of his services. Junaid Jamshed passed away on this day in 2016 in a tragic plane crash while returning to Islamabad from Chitral.
