Islamabad: The third death anniversary of TV and film actor Qavi Khan was observed today [Thursday]: The commemorations took place in various locations across his birth city, Peshawar.

According to Radio Pakistan, Qavi Khan began his career as a child star at Radio Pakistan Peshawar. In 1964, he transitioned to television, beginning a long and impactful career with Pakistan Television. His professional journey was marked by his first prominent role in the drama “Lakhon Mein Aik,” but it was his performance in “Andhera Ujala” that brought him widespread recognition across Pakistan.

Throughout his career, Qavi Khan also contributed to numerous Pakistani films, further solidifying his legacy in the entertainment industry. The government recognized his significant contributions by awarding him the Pride of Performance and Sitara-i-Imtiaz, honoring his dedication to the country and the showbiz industry.

Qavi Khan passed away on this day in 2023, leaving behind a rich legacy in the world of television and film. His contributions continue to be remembered and cherished by fans and colleagues alike.
