Death Anniversary of Shaukat Thanvi Observed

Lahore: The 63rd death anniversary of playwright and poet Shaukat Thanvi was observed on Monday. Born in 1904, Thanvi contributed significantly to Urdu literature, leaving behind a legacy of sixty books, including collections of short stories, novels, and essays.

According to Radio Pakistan, Shaukat Thanvi was honored with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for his services to Urdu literature. He passed away in Lahore on this day in 1963, leaving a lasting impact on the literary world.
