Death Anniversary of Singer Masood Rana Observed

Lahore: The 30th death anniversary of playback singer Masood Rana was observed today [Saturday]. Masood Rana, a prominent name in the Pakistani music industry, was born in Mirpur Khas, Sindh, into a landowner family that had migrated from Jalandhar, East Punjab.

According to Radio Pakistan, Rana began his singing career at Radio Pakistan Hyderabad in 1955. He made his entry into the film industry in 1962, providing vocals for the movie “Inqalab.” Over the span of more than three decades, Masood Rana established himself as a leading male singer in both Urdu and Punjabi films.

Masood Rana passed away in Lahore on this day in 1995, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire.
