Death Anniversary of Tabish Dehlvi Observed

Karachi: The 21st death anniversary of eminent Urdu poet and broadcaster Tabish Dehlvi was observed on Tuesday. He is regarded as one of the leading classical poets in Urdu literature.

According to Radio Pakistan, Tabish Dehlvi, whose real name was Masood Tabish, began his career as a newsreader with All India Radio in 1941. Following the partition, he continued his broadcasting career with Radio Pakistan. Throughout his life, he received numerous awards both domestically and internationally, including the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz from the Government of Pakistan.

Tabish Dehlvi passed away on this day in 2004 in Karachi, leaving behind a rich legacy in Urdu literature and broadcasting.
