Death Anniversary of Urdu Writer Qudrat Ullah Shahab Observed in Islamabad

Islamabad: The 40th death anniversary of Pakistan’s eminent Urdu writer and civil servant Qudrat Ullah Shahab was observed on Friday. Qudrat Ullah Shahab, a prominent literary figure, was born in Gilgit on February 26, 1920.

According to Radio Pakistan, Shahab began his writing journey at an early age, showcasing his talent in both Urdu and English. At just 16, he gained international recognition by winning an essay competition organized by Readers Digest in London. His most celebrated work is his autobiography “Shahab Nama,” which remains influential in Urdu literature. Qudrat Ullah Shahab passed away on this day in 1986 in Islamabad.
