Defence Minister Urges PTI to Refrain from Terrorist Narrative

Sialkot: Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership, accusing them and their foreign-based members of using inappropriate language and disregarding the sacrifices made by the country’s armed forces and martyrs.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Defence Minister, while speaking to the media in Sialkot, expressed concern over the PTI leadership’s conduct following the general elections, describing it as contrary to political decency. He highlighted that the soldiers who have laid down their lives for the nation are not being duly recognized by PTI’s leadership.

The Defence Minister urged PTI to steer clear of adopting a narrative that aligns with terrorists, and cautioned against any leniency or sympathetic gestures towards the Taliban. He stated that PTI’s current stance aligns them with the adversaries of Pakistan, and warned them against challenging the nation’s sovereignty, honour, or dignity.
