PML (N) Senator Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasir has said that delay in general election scheduled for July 25 will not be tolerated.
In an interview with Radio Pakistan on Friday, he said any delay in general polls will give rise to political unrest and impasse in the country.
He said PML (N) has full trust in leadership of caretaker prime minister Justice (R) Nasir ul Mulk and hope to ensure free, fair and transparent elections in the country.
The senator congratulated the nation on the successful completion of the five-year tenure of the political government and expressed the hope that the democratic system would continue to flourish unimpeded in the country.
He urged the democratic elements to forge unity in order to steer the country out of myriad challenges confronting it.
