Demand-Driven Skills Vital for Overseas Employment: Mashhood

Islamabad: Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, has underscored the importance of demand-driven skills development as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s overseas employment strategy. He articulated this vision during the Overseas Employment Visa Award Ceremony held in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan emphasized that the Prime Minister’s youth vision prioritizes skills, employability, and global competitiveness. He highlighted the collaborative efforts of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission and partner institutions in aligning technical training with international labor market needs. These efforts ensure transparent processes in skill verification, immigration, and job placements.

The ceremony celebrated the overseas placement of over 400 youth who completed internationally benchmarked technical training and assessment programs. These initiatives are designed to meet employer demand, particularly in Saudi Arabia, and are part of a broader strategy to enhance employability and competitiveness on the global stage.
