Deputy PM Chairs Meeting on SDGs, Emphasizes Support for Vulnerable Communities.

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the 44th Meeting of the Steering Committee on SDGs Achievement Programme in Islamabad today. The meeting focused on reviewing initiatives and government programmes aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, with a particular emphasis on improving basic infrastructure and addressing the needs of underprivileged communities in Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions highlighted the government’s commitment to prioritizing projects that support vulnerable populations. The meeting underscored the importance of ensuring that development efforts are inclusive and equitable, aiming to uplift all segments of society, particularly those who are most in need.

The Steering Committee on SDGs Achievement Programme is tasked with guiding and monitoring the country’s progress towards meeting the global goals. Today’s meeting served as a platform to evaluate current efforts and strategize on future steps necessary to accelerate
progress in areas crucial for sustainable development.
