Deputy Prime Minister Attends UNSC Open Debate in New York

New york: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has arrived in New York on a three-day official visit to the United States. During this visit, he is set to participate in a high-level UN Security Council Open Debate. The debate focuses on “Maintenance of International Peace and Security: Upholding the Purposes and Principles of the UN Charter and Strengthening the UN-centered International System,” which is being convened under China’s Presidency of the UN Security Council.

According to Radio Pakistan, Deputy Prime Minister Dar will also engage in bilateral meetings with his counterparts and hold discussions with senior UN officials. Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, along with the Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Aamer Ahmad Atozai.
