Karachi, February 16, 2014 (PPI-OT): Following the directive of Administrator Karachi Rauf Akhtar Farooqui, Director General Parks and Horticulture, KMC Tahir Jamil Durrani visited newly built Afza Park in Block 5 of Clifton where he inspected various renovation and development works and directed concerned officers to ensure their speedy completion so that the park could be inaugurated soon.
Director General Parks Tahir Jamil Durrani specially reviewed the playing area for children and roller skating arena and issued instructions for making them even better and according to the needs of modern era.
He also inspected the canopies and benches which have been installed in the park and directed officers regarding addition of more colorful and beautiful flowery plants and trees around the inner corridors of park.
The Director General said this must be ensured that all the lights which have been installed in this beautiful park were maintained properly as this would save the people visiting this park in the evening hours from any difficulty. He also directed to arrange for lighting and cleanliness around the park and at the entrance door where he said unique renovation would give it a more beautiful look.
The Director General who paid a visit to Afza Park in Clifton along with the Deputy Director Abdul Rasheed, Executive Engineer Iftikhar-ullah, Assistant Engineer Raheel, P.S Azad Khan and other officers said Karachi Metropolitan Corporation was making all possible efforts to provide better facilities to citizens in all of its parks so that they could spent some good and refreshing time inside these facilities with their families.
He expressed hope that the Afza Park in Block 5 Clifton would prove one of the best parks in this area and city and the people would feel good to visit this lush green and beautiful park.
