District Administration and Rescue 1122 Relocate Hundreds Amid Karachi Flooding

Karachi: In Karachi, district administration and Rescue 1122 continued the rescue operation throughout the night and shifted 350 trapped citizens from low-lying areas to safer places.

According to Radio Pakistan, the spokesperson of Rescue 1122 stated that Rescue 1122, along with the Pakistan Army, rescued 10 people trapped in water in Saadi Town. The coordinated efforts were crucial in ensuring the safety of residents in flood-affected areas.

Eleven people, including women and children, were safely relocated near Saima Society. Additionally, eight individuals were moved from Nashr Basti and Isa Nagri, demonstrating the extensive reach of the rescue operations.

The spokesperson further detailed that individuals trapped in rainwater in Lasi Para near Sohrab, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Imtiaz Superstore, Khamiso Jokhio Goth, and other areas of the city were transferred to safer locations. The ongoing rescue efforts highlight the commitment to public safety amid challenging weather conditions.
