District Magistrate Announces Public Holiday Within ICT Limits for Today

Islamabad: The District Magistrate of Islamabad has issued a notification declaring a public holiday within the limits of the Islamabad Capital Territory for today, affecting a wide range of institutions and establishments.

According to Radio Pakistan, the notification specifies that all private institutions, including schools, colleges, universities, and private business establishments and offices within the Islamabad limits, will remain closed. This decision aims to ensure public compliance and safety within the area.

However, the notification also clarifies that all offices providing essential services under the Islamabad administration will remain operational. These include critical service providers that are necessary for maintaining public welfare and order.

Additionally, the announcement makes it clear that all federal ministries, divisions, and affiliated departments and offices will continue their operations without interruption, ensuring that federal functions are not disrupted by the public holiday.
