DPM Arrives at OIC Secretariat to Attend OIC CFM Session

Jeddah: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has arrived at the OIC Secretariat to participate in the 22nd Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers on Israel’s recognition of Somaliland. He was received by Secretary General OIC, Hissein Brahim Taha, and Permanent Representative of Pakistan to OIC, Ambassador Fawad Sher on arrival.

According to Radio Pakistan, the session is a significant gathering addressing the recent developments concerning Israel’s recognition of Somaliland. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has convened this meeting to discuss the implications of this recognition and to deliberate on a collective response from member states.

The presence of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar underscores Pakistan’s active role and engagement in the discussions at the OIC. The meeting is expected to bring together foreign ministers and delegates from various member states to explore diplomatic strategies and actions in response to the evolving geopolitical landscape.
