DPM Calls for Expediting SEZs at Karachi Steel Mills Site

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has emphasized the need to expedite the establishment of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) at the Karachi Steel Mills site. He highlighted the importance of incorporating global best practices to attract both foreign and domestic investment.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister chaired a meeting in Islamabad with the committee responsible for finalizing proposals for the development of the Karachi Industrial Park at the Pakistan Steel Mills. During the meeting, he received detailed briefings on the proposals for developing industrial parks.

The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to fast-tracking industrial development. He stressed the importance of creating an investor-friendly environment in Pakistan, aiming to enhance the country’s economic growth through these initiatives.
