DPM Calls for Modernizing Port Infrastructure to Boost Trade

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has underscored the importance of modernizing port infrastructure and streamlining processes to bolster Pakistan’s competitiveness in regional and global trade. He was presiding over a meeting in Islamabad to review operational efficiency at Pakistan’s ports.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting covered measures to address port congestion, strengthen trade facilitation, and improve logistics systems to support imports, exports, and overall economic activity. The discussion also included proposals to enhance efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and ensure smooth cargo handling.
