DPM Calls for Sustainable Fertilizer Supply for Farmers

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has emphasized ensuring sustainable fertilizer availability for farmers at affordable costs.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dar chaired a meeting of the Committee to deliberate upon gas supply to the fertilizer sector. During the meeting, he stressed the importance of strengthening the supply chain, stabilizing prices, and supporting crop growth and national food security.

The committee engaged in discussions regarding the continuity of existing gas supplies and the securitization of future gas for long-term urea production. Recommendations from the committee will be submitted to the Prime Minister for further consideration.
