Jeddah: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, has left for Saudi Arabia to participate in the Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, which is scheduled to convene in Jeddah.
According to Radio Pakistan, this high-level meeting aims to discuss collective responses to the escalating situation in Palestine due to Israeli actions against Palestinians, the resulting humanitarian crisis, and the contentious proposals for displacing Palestinians from their homeland.
During the Conference, the Deputy Prime Minister will reaffirm Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their cause. He is expected to advocate for Israel’s complete withdrawal from all occupied territories, including Jerusalem, and to reject any proposals for further displacing Palestinians.
The Deputy Prime Minister will also emphasize the restoration of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to return to their homeland and the establishment of a viable, contiguous, and sovereign Palestinian state based on the pre-June 1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
