DPM Reaffirms Steadfast Support for Lebanon’s Sovereignty

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for Lebanon’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity. He was engaged in discussions with Ahmad Al-Hajjar, the Interior Minister of Lebanon, during his visit to Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ishaq Dar expressed the desire to further strengthen bilateral ties, including cooperation in law enforcement and enhancing people-to-people contacts. The dialogue between the two ministers centered on Pakistan-Lebanon relations and law enforcement collaboration, highlighting the signing of the Agreement on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons as a significant milestone in their legal cooperation.

Additionally, both officials exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual interest. The Lebanese Minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability and congratulated Pakistan on the signing of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement. Both sides expressed the desire to further expand bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
