DPM Reviews Implementation of Austerity Measures in Islamabad

Islamabad: A meeting of the Cabinet Committee for Monitoring and Implementation of Fuel Conservation and Additional Austerity Measures was held in Islamabad today, with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair. The Deputy Prime Minister reviewed the implementation status of austerity measures and expressed satisfaction with its compliance. He stressed that, given the current challenges, it has become essential that all sectors practice conservation and austerity until circumstances improve.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister for Information Technology also displayed the dashboard prepared for tracking the implementation of the austerity measures. Ishaq Dar further emphasized that only those cases for exemption from these austerity measures should be brought to the committee, which are essential in carrying out the critical and time-bound work of the Government.
