Beijing: Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar will co-chair the seventh round of the China-Pakistan Strategic Dialogue, a two-day event commencing in Beijing tomorrow. The Dialogue aims to review the full spectrum of bilateral cooperation, identify new areas of partnership, and advance the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership between Pakistan and China. It underscores the strong friendship between the two nations.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue serves as the highest consultative mechanism between Pakistan and China. This platform provides a structured opportunity to review the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation. Economic and trade cooperation remains a central pillar of China-Pakistan relations.
China’s General Administration of Customs reports that bilateral trade reached 23.06 billion dollars in 2024, marking an 11.1 percent increase year on year. Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Beijing, where he was received by China’s Special Representative on Afghanistan Yue Xiaoyong and Pakistan’s Ambassador to China.
In addition to the Strategic Dialogue, the Deputy Prime Minister will attend events marking the start of the 75th year of Pakistan-China diplomatic ties. Both countries plan to initiate commemorative activities throughout the year to celebrate this milestone.
