DPM Underscores Significance of UN

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, Ambassador Asim briefed the Deputy Prime Minister on the Pakistan Mission’s engagements in New York, focusing on activities at the United Nations Security Council and other UN organs.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Asim highlighted the Mission’s ongoing efforts to promote Pakistan’s key foreign policy priorities on multilateral platforms. These priorities include issues such as Jammu and Kashmir and the Palestinian cause.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the United Nations and multilateral institutions in achieving global peace, security, and economic development.
