DPM Voices Satisfaction Over Availability of Sufficient Sugar Stocks in Country

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has underscored the need for continued vigilance, effective coordination, and timely measures to ensure food security, market stability, and availability of essential commodities at affordable rates. He was presiding over a meeting of the Steering Committee on Sugar in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the availability of sufficient sugar stocks in the country. He stated that the current stocks, along with anticipated production, are adequate to meet requirements well into the next crushing season.

The meeting was attended by the Minister for National Food Security, Minister for Information, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, Secretary National Food Security, Secretary Commerce, and other senior officials.
