Dry Conditions Persist in Balochistan, Rain and Dust Storms Expected in Select Districts

Quetta: The Regional Meteorological Center Balochistan has forecasted varied weather conditions across the province for the coming days, with dry weather prevailing in most districts on Tuesday, while specific areas are expected to receive rainfall and experience dust storms.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, rain or thundershowers are anticipated in the districts of Barkhan, Musa Khel, Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Sibi, Ziarat, Khuzdar, Panjgur, Awaran, Kech, and Turbat. Meanwhile, Quetta, Mastung, Qila Saifullah, and Doob are likely to face dust storms during the evening and night. The forecast for Wednesday includes light rain in Barkhan, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Saifullah, and Loralai, along with dusty winds expected in Washak, Sorab, Khuzdar, Panjgur, Turbat, and coastal areas including Gwadar, Pasni, and Ormara.

Temperature readings over the last 24 hours show Kalat at 9.0°C to 22.5°C, Quetta at 11.5°C to 22.5°C, Lasbela at 18.0°C to 38.7°C, and Panjgur at 22.5°C to 33.0°C. Recorded rainfall varied, with Quetta City, Sariab, and Airport measuring 9.0mm, 3.5mm, and 2.0mm respectively, while traces were noted in Ziarat, Pishin, and Loralai.
