Islamabad: Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan (DIB) has received the Shaukat Khanum Social Responsibility Award 2024. The Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust (SKMT) presented the honor at an event in Karachi, recognizing DIB’s ongoing dedication to social welfare and its substantial backing of the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH and RC), particularly its upcoming Karachi facility, scheduled to launch in 2026.
The 2024 Social Responsibility Awards celebrated 49 organizations across various sectors for their societal contributions. DIB’s Head of Marketing, Fariya Zaeem, stated, “At DIB, we measure genuine advancement not solely by financial gains, but also by our beneficial societal impact. Championing SKMT’s mission to provide top-tier cancer care to the less fortunate is both a privilege and a duty.” Zaeem added that the accolade encourages DIB to bolster its pledge to community well-being and sustainable progress within Pakistan.
SKMT CEO, Dr. Faisal Sultan, expressed appreciation for the continuous dedication of benefactors, emphasizing that aiding the needy exemplifies a compassionate society. He commended the strong female leadership presence among the recognized entities and thanked all representatives for their support’s positive impact on patients’ lives.
