ECC Approves Over Rs18 Billion Grant for Postal Services and ECP.

Islamabad: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet has sanctioned a supplementary grant exceeding 18 billion rupees to support the Postal Services and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the ECC convened in Islamabad under the leadership of Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb. During the meeting, the committee approved a substantial allocation of 16.99 billion rupees designated for settling verified outstanding liabilities of companies and agency partners linked with the Pakistan Post Office.

Additionally, the ECC sanctioned a grant of 1.31 billion rupees to assist the Election Commission of Pakistan in conducting Local Government bye-elections across the four provinces and Islamabad within the current fiscal year.

Furthermore, the meeting also approved several proposals aimed at enhancing the operations of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
