Islamabad: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has granted approval for ten projects amounting to 172.7 billion rupees. The decision was made during a meeting in Islamabad, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, where one project was deferred for further clarification from the Ministry of Health.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the approved projects focus on enhancing infrastructure to improve connectivity in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh. Notably, six of these projects are situated in Balochistan. Additionally, a World Bank-funded initiative aimed at developing solid waste infrastructure in Karachi, costing 29.2 billion rupees, also received approval.
