ECO Secretary-General to Begin Three-Day Visit to Pakistan

Islamabad: Secretary-General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Dr. Asad Majeed Khan, is set to embark on a three-day official visit to Pakistan starting tomorrow. During the visit, Dr. Khan will engage with Pakistan’s leadership, including the President, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister, as well as other federal ministers.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions will focus on ECO’s initiatives and Dr. Khan’s reform agenda, which aims to revitalize the organization and bolster relations with its member states, including Pakistan. The visit underscores efforts to expand regional cooperation and development.

Following his engagements in Islamabad, Dr. Khan will proceed to Lahore. There, he will participate in the 294th Meeting of the ECO Council of Permanent Representatives, scheduled from the 12th to the 15th of this month, alongside permanent representatives of ECO member states.
