Efforts Underway in Pakistan for Indigenous Vaccine Production: Mustafa

Islamabad: Minister for National Health Services Syed Mustafa Kamal has announced that efforts are being made to indigenously produce vaccines for various diseases. Addressing an event in Islamabad, he highlighted the country’s capacity to not only meet domestic vaccine needs but also to potentially export vaccines to other countries. The Minister mentioned that discussions and engagements are ongoing with different countries to advance these efforts.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister also introduced a new initiative for a coordinated health complaint management system. This system will enable the public to voice health-related complaints conveniently through a four-digit number. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of implementing a universal health insurance scheme, which he believes will contribute to reducing the national health budget.
