Efforts Underway to Promote Sustainable Urban Development in Punjab: CM Maryam

Punjab: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited the historic and industrial city of Yokohama in Japan and reviewed the port operations. On this occasion, the Chief Minister stated that efforts are being made to promote sustainable urban development in Lahore and other industrial and densely populated cities of Punjab, drawing inspiration from the successful model of Yokohama.

According to Radio Pakistan, Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized that the Ravi Urban Development Authority will undergo a transformation into a modern urban development authority similar to Yokohama. This transformation aims to ensure industrial progress while protecting against environmental hazards. She highlighted that Yokohama serves as a unique example where industrial growth has been achieved alongside environmental sustainability.
