Egypt’s Stability Key to Middle East Peace, Says Khawaja Asif

Islamabad: Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif emphasized the importance of Egypt’s stability and progress for ensuring peace and prosperity across the Middle East. His remarks came during a meeting with the Ambassador of Egypt, Dr. Ihab Abdelhamid Hassan, who called on him in the capital.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Defence Minister underscored the potential for stronger relations between Egypt and Pakistan, particularly in the area of defence production. He highlighted the shared interests of both countries in promoting regional peace and collaboration across various fields.

During the meeting, Asif also reiterated Pakistan’s strong condemnation of Israeli aggression in Gaza and reaffirmed the country’s solidarity with the Palestinian people. The discussion reflected Pakistan’s continued support for the Palestinian cause, alongside its growing diplomatic ties with Egypt.
