Election Commission of Pakistan Issues Campaign Deadline for Bye-Election in PB-08, Sibi

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan has notified candidates contesting the Bye-Election in PB-08, Sibi, about the legal restrictions on campaign activities as the election date approaches. The provisions of Section 182 of the Elections Act, 2017, prohibit any public meetings or processions within the constituency during the 48 hours leading up to the election, with penalties for violations including imprisonment or fines.

According to Press Information Department, the election campaign for the PB-08, Sibi Bye-Election will officially end at midnight on November 12, 2024. Political parties and candidates have been urged to comply with the law and exercise self-restraint, ensuring that the polling on November 14, 2024, proceeds in an orderly and peaceful manner.
