Embassies, High Commissions taking keen interest in Prime Minister’s package: Zubair Ahmed Malik

Islamabad, December 02, 2013 (PPI-OT): Various embassies and high commissions are taking keen interest in the incentive package recently announced by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

In this regard many diplomats contacted President FPCCI Zubair Ahmed Malik to know full details of the package and reaction of the business community.

Talking to the diplomats, the FPCCI chief said that the incentives and amnesties will announced by the government have a very positive impact on the economy which was struggling since long.

He said that business activities were passive which was resulting in inflation and unemployment but now the situation is taking a positive turn.

The business and agricultural advisory councils would ensure swift implementations of decisions which will unleash growth and reduce cost of doing business, he added.

Economy cannot be revived unless business community is safe and happy and the relaxations and amnesties announced by the PM would certainly boost confidence of the business community, he told diplomats.

Zubair Ahmed Malik said that process of on-going change in military and judicial leadership in a peaceful and constitutional manner has helped restore confidence of trade and industry which is evident from the stock markets of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

He said that the package is a very good and timely step which will have an impact on all the sectors of the limping economy.

We support PM’s foresight and decisions on law and order, terrorism, situation in Karachi, MFN to India, energy crisis, commercial courts, civil nuclear power plants, withdrawal of powers of the FBR to access bank accounts which will help revive economy, said Malik.
