DUBAI: The Emirates Group has reported a record-breaking financial performance for the first half of the 2025-26 fiscal year, with a profit before tax of AED 12.2 billion (US$ 3.3 billion), marking the fourth consecutive year of record profitability. This represents a 17% increase from the same period last year, driven by robust travel demand and customer preference for premium services.
Group revenue rose by 4% to AED 75.4 billion (US$ 20.6 billion). The Group’s cash reserves reached a record AED 56.0 billion (US$ 15.2 billion) as of September 30, 2025. Emirates Airline alone posted a half-year profit before tax of AED 11.4 billion (US$ 3.1 billion), a 17% increase, with revenue climbing 6% to AED 65.6 billion (US$ 17.9 billion).
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, attributed the performance to strong global demand and customer loyalty. “Emirates maintains its position as the world’s most profitable airline for this half-year reporting period,” he said.
The airline expanded its network, introducing new flight services to several cities and increasing its connectivity with additional weekly flights. Emirates also invested in new aircraft and cabin upgrades, enhancing its Business Class and Premium Economy offerings.
dnata, the Emirates Group’s ground handling and travel services arm, also reported strong growth. It achieved a profit before tax of AED 843 million (US$ 230 million), a 17% increase, with revenue rising 13% to AED 11.7 billion (US$ 3.2 billion).
The Group’s employee base grew by 3% to support increased operations, while strategic investments in innovation and technology continue to enhance services.
Looking ahead, Sheikh Ahmed expressed optimism about sustained demand for air travel and the Group’s capacity expansion plans. Emirates and dnata are set to further scale operations, driven by continued investments and Dubai’s growth as a hub for talent, business, and tourism.
