Engro Fertilizers Announces Change in Company Secretary

Karachi: Engro Fertilizers Limited has announced a change in its key management, with Mr. Sunaib Barkat stepping down as the Company Secretary effective August 31, 2024. Mr. Saqib Rafique will assume the role of Interim Company Secretary starting September 1, 2024. The company confirmed that a permanent appointment will be communicated in due course.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the transition in this crucial administrative position comes as Engro Fertilizers continues to navigate its strategic operations in the competitive fertilizer market. Mr. Barkat’s resignation marks the end of a significant tenure, during which he played a pivotal role in regulatory compliance and governance of the company.

Mr. Rafique, previously involved in various capacities within the company, will now handle the responsibilities of ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining communication with stakeholders, including the TREC Holders of the Exchange.
