EU, NGOs urged to send teams to IOK to assess HR situation

Srinagar, September 16, 2013 (PPI-OT): Kashmiri leaders Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Altaf Hussain Wani, Sardar Asadullah Khan and Sardar Amjad Yousuf have urged the European Union and various NGOs to send their teams to occupied Kashmir to take stock of the human rights situation in the territory.

Talking to representatives of the European Union and various NGOs on the sidelines of the 24th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, they said that Indian troops and police personnel were committing crime against humanity in the territory.

The leaders asked the representatives to send their teams to assess themselves the situation of human rights in the territory.
