European Union delegation meeting on GSP+ status facilitated by Punjab Board of Investment and Trade Officials

Lahore, June 26, 2014 (PPI-OT): EU delegation meeting on GSP+ status was facilitated by PBIT officials. The meeting was held at the Punjab Assembly, and was attended by the Secretary Industries, Provincial Minister Industries, Provincial Minister for Labour, Provincial Minister for Minorities and higher management of PBIT.

The EU delegation comprised of Mr. Nikolaos Zaimis Deputy Head of the GSP Unit, Mr. Johan Sorensen and Mr. Hasnain A Iftikhar Trade Officer from EU office. The delegation was briefed about the increase in exports after the grant of the GSP+ status to Pakistan. A detailed presentation was given to them regarding how all the departments are working to ensure that the Pakistan is meeting the 27 conventions specified for compliance.
