Karachi, February 24, 2020 (PPI-OT):Excise Police Shikarpur has had a major success in on-going operation against drug peddlers under the direction of the Minister for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control and Parliamentary Affairs, Mukesh Kumar Chawla. According to the details, Assistant Excise and Taxation officer Habibullah Qazi spotted a suspected Toyota Hilux pickup bearing number PAA-267 at the Shikarpur check post. During the search of the vehicle, 25 kg charas was recovered while two accused Mohammad Farooq and Syed Naseer Ahmed were arrested. A case has been registered against them and investigation has been initiated against the accused. The accused were bringing Charas from Balochistan to Karachi. Meanwhile in a statement issued here on Monday.
Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control and Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Secretary Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Abdul Rahim Sheikh and Director General Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui have congratulated Shikarpur Excise Police on the successful operation. Praising the performance of the officers and officials, provincial minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla expressed his hope that the officers and officials of the department would continue to take action against the drug dealers and would make Sindh province free from the drugs.
