Fatima Fertilizer Joins Forces to Boost Youth Entrepreneurship in Pakistan

Islamabad: Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with SEED Ventures and King’s Trust International to promote youth entrepreneurship in Pakistan through the Enterprise Challenge Pakistan (ECP) program. The partnership was formalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Islamabad, marking a significant step towards empowering young minds and supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Enterprise Challenge Pakistan initiative, a flagship program by King’s Trust International, was founded by His Majesty King Charles III and SEED Ventures. It aims to cultivate entrepreneurial skills and business acumen among youth aged 14-18, focusing on gender equality and inclusion of underprivileged communities, public-sector schools, and children with disabilities.

The signing ceremony was attended by H.E. Jane Marriott, the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, who served as the Chief Guest. Key figures from Fatima Fertilizer, including Rabel Sadozai, Director of Marketing and Sales, and Shaista Ayesha, CEO of SEED Ventures, were also present.

The ninth cycle of the ECP program for 2025-2026 plans to engage nearly 3,000 students from 100-120 schools across rural Pakistan. This initiative aligns with Fatima Fertilizer’s commitment to the UN SDGs, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).

Will Straw, CEO of King’s Trust International, expressed his support for the collaboration, emphasizing the potential of partnerships to empower young people to drive entrepreneurial change in Pakistan.

British High Commissioner Jane Marriott highlighted the potential of Pakistani youth and the role of the ECP in unlocking it. Shaista Ayesha of SEED Ventures expressed enthusiasm for scaling the program across rural Pakistan, aiming to foster the next generation of agripreneurs.

Rabel Sadozai from Fatima Fertilizer reiterated the company’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial spirit and inclusive growth, aligning with global SDG efforts. Asad Murad, COO of Fatima Fertilizer, emphasized the importance of investing in youth to shape Pakistan’s future.

The partnership underscores Fatima Fertilizer’s dedication to youth empowerment and sustainable development, contributing to Pakistan’s advancement towards achieving global SDGs by 2030.
