Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Announces Cancellation of Upcoming Board Meeting

Karachi: Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited has cancelled its 169th board meeting, originally scheduled for September 10, 2024.

The company, which had previously announced the meeting and a corresponding closed period from September 5 to September 10, 2024, revoked both without specifying the reasons behind the decision. The closed period, a standard practice to prevent insider trading ahead of significant announcements, has been lifted following the cancellation of the meeting.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), such cancellations are not common and may impact shareholder and market perceptions. During the closed period, directors, the CEO, and executives were restricted from trading shares of the company.

Stakeholders, including TRE Certificate Holders, have been advised of these changes as required by PSX regulations. The company’s management has not yet provided a new date for the meeting or detailed the agenda items that were to be discussed.
