Federal cabinet approves plan to increase exports, imports through Gwadar port

The meeting of the cabinet presided over by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad also instructed to increase the volume of exports from Gwadar Port in the future.

A subcommittee of the cabinet will be formed to submit a quarterly report on imports and exports through Gwadar Port.

The Cabinet also approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Pakistan and Sri Lanka for the issuance of a commemorative postal stamp to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The Cabinet expressed satisfaction that a better decision by the Cabinet on sugar exports not only brought valuable foreign exchange to the country but also kept sugar prices under control.
