Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Strengthens Ties with US Lawmakers in Washington

Washington: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi engaged in discussions with US Congressmen Joe Wilson and Rob Bresnahan in Washington to explore avenues for strengthening Pakistan-US relations. The meetings focused on mutual interests, regional peace, and the ongoing situation in Afghanistan.

According to a statement by Press Information Department, the discussions highlighted the importance of enhancing trade and cultural exchanges to bolster bilateral ties. Minister Naqvi assured the US lawmakers of Pakistan’s full cooperation and extended invitations for them to visit Pakistan.

Minister Naqvi emphasized the strategic partnership between the US and Pakistan, which has been sustained over several decades. He expressed optimism about President Donald Trump’s approach to global peace and conflict resolution, anticipating that his term could bring about new dimensions in the bilateral relationship.

Both sides discussed potential collaborations in various sectors and addressed issues concerning overseas Pakistanis. Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, was also present at the meetings, underscoring the commitment to strengthening diplomatic engagements.
