Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar Reaffirms Pakistan’s Commitment to Kashmir Cause

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar expressed Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Kashmiri right to self-determination during his remarks on Kashmir Black Day. He emphasized Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s strong stance on the issue, highlighting Pakistan’s unyielding dedication to advocating for Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Tarar characterized October 27, 1947, as a profoundly grim moment when Indian forces commenced what he described as a military massacre in Jammu and Kashmir, acting against the wishes of the Kashmiri people. He criticized the ongoing harsh policies of the Indian government, praising the resilience and bravery of the Kashmiris in their struggle for autonomy.

Tarar reinforced that despite international pressures, Pakistan has consistently supported the Kashmiri fight for self-determination and has been vocal about the issue on global platforms. He advocated for a UN-supervised referendum as the only viable solution to the conflict, urging the international community to play a more active role in securing a peaceful resolution and in holding India accountable for human rights violations in the region.

“We believe that the Kashmiri people will definitely reach their destination and their dream of freedom will be fulfilled,” Tarar concluded, signaling a continued commitment to supporting the Kashmiri cause both diplomatically and morally.
