Federal Minister for Petroleum Engages with Pakistan Petroleum Limited Leadership

Karachi: The Federal Minister for Petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Malik, visited the head office of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) in Karachi, marking his first official visit to the company since taking office. Accompanied by Additional Secretary (Policy) of the Petroleum Division, Zafar Abbas, the Minister engaged with PPL’s senior leadership to discuss the company’s operations and strategic vision.

Upon his arrival, the Minister was welcomed by PPL’s Managing Director and CEO, Imran Abbasy. During the visit, the Minister was introduced to the members of the Executive Committee and was briefed on PPL’s operations and achievements in exploration and production over the past three years.

The briefing included an overview of PPL’s increased output in natural gas, crude oil, and mining operations. The management also shared forward-looking strategies aimed at enhancing growth and supporting the nation’s energy security, while addressing operational and strategic challenges.

The Minister expressed appreciation for PPL’s contributions to the energy sector and offered insights on addressing future challenges. He affirmed the Ministry’s continued support for PPL’s initiatives.

To mark the occasion, PPL presented mementos to the Minister and the Additional Secretary. PPL reaffirmed its commitment to energy security through responsible resource development.
