Federal Minister Reviews Progress of CPEC Projects in Islamabad

Islamabad: A high-level meeting took place to review the progress of ongoing projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal. Key attendees included Secretary of Planning, Awais Manzoor Sumra, and Joint Chief Economist Operations, Zafar-ul-Hassan, along with other senior officials from the Ministry.

According to Ministry of Planning Development and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal emphasized the importance of ensuring the success of the five-year CPEC development plan by involving all provinces of Pakistan and promoting equal development opportunities. He directed that all five corridors be interconnected to meet the project’s objectives, including essential components such as CPEC Phase I and CPEC Phase II.

The Federal Minister stressed the need for the timely completion of mega projects, specifically mentioning the ML-1 and the Karakoram Highway (KKH). He instructed that regular monitoring of these projects be conducted to ensure they are completed within the specified timeline.

Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the significance of CPEC projects, stating that they are vital to Pakistan’s economic stability and will significantly contribute to the country’s progress and prosperity.
