Federal Ministers Reaffirm Commitment to Kashmiri Self-Determination

Islamabad: Pakistan’s federal ministers have reiterated their unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s pursuit of self-determination, emphasizing the nation’s long-standing position on the Kashmir dispute.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, in a televised message on Kashmir Solidarity Day, underscored Pakistan’s commitment to the Kashmiri cause. He pointed to the delayed implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions, attributing the delay to Indian intransigence, and called on the international community to fulfill its promises to the Kashmiri people.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar spoke against the reported atrocities in the region, voicing Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the Kashmiri struggle. He emphasized that the sacrifices made by the people of Kashmir should not be in vain.

Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal expressed confidence in the eventual realization of the Kashmiri people’s aspirations. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm stance on the Kashmir dispute and praised the resilience of the Kashmiri people.

Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam highlighted the significance of observing Kashmir Solidarity Day, aiming to draw attention to the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. He described the region as disputed and criticized India’s actions in the area.

Minister for Power Awais Leghari described Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir as the world’s most militarized zone, stressing the continued observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day by Pakistan until the Kashmiri people achieve self-determination.

Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sana Ullah Khan urged the international community to support the oppressed in the region and called for India to recognize the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
