FIA Reform Process to Be Finalized by December 2026: Interior Minister

Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that the reform process within the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is set to be completed by December this year. During a meeting held at the FIA Headquarters, he instructed officials to initiate a comprehensive crackdown on corruption within government institutions.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Interior Minister advocated for a zero-tolerance policy against corruption to be strictly enforced across all public sector organizations. He also instructed the monitoring of overseas employment advertisements online and emphasized the importance of public awareness regarding misleading advertisements.

The Interior Minister highlighted that the FIA would be structured as a frontline force against all forms of organized crime. During the meeting, the Director General of the FIA, Dr. Usman Anwar, informed the Interior Minister that comprehensive data on individuals involved in human smuggling and their facilitators has been compiled.
