FIA Revamp Planned to Tackle Human Trafficking, Says Interior Minister

LAHORE: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced plans for a comprehensive revamp of the Federal Investigation Agency aimed at addressing the issue of human trafficking. Speaking to reporters in Lahore, Naqvi emphasized the government’s commitment to tackling the activities of traffickers who, he said, are damaging the country’s reputation.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Naqvi highlighted the urgency of reforming the agency to effectively combat trafficking networks. He underscored the negative impact these activities have on the nation’s image internationally.

In response to public concerns about difficulties in obtaining passports, Naqvi also revealed that the government is setting up Model Centers to improve services for citizens. These centers are intended to streamline processes and enhance accessibility for the general population.
